A. pallida samples, which are naturally grown in East Anatolia
were collected from Bingöl region (geographical coordinates: 38
530 1000 North, 40 300 600 East) in Turkey. The samples were harvested
in July and the stems cleaned from leaves and tops and
dried naturally in open air and then were ground, milled, and
sieved to 0.6 mm pore. The milled samples extracted with petroleum
ether (b.p. 40–60 C) in a Soxhlet extractor for 6 h to find
the amount of extractives such as fatty acids, terpenoids and phenolics.
The milled feedstock was uniformly mixed before
experiments.
