If gravity drain is impossible, permanently installed automatic submersible pumps shall be provided. 2A.13 Fire-Proof for Buildings and Structures According to relevant laws and regulations enforced in Thailand, the following structural members shall be coated for three (3) hours fire proofing throughout member length: a) Column of building frame; b) Interior columns supporting floor for all service areas; and, c) Steel beams connected with (a) and (a), (a) and (b), as well as (b) and (b) above. Steel roof structures of the two or more stories building having distance between roof structures and the adjacent floor not greater than 8.00 meters, shall be coated for two (2) hours fire proofing throughout member length. Also, Steel roof structures of the single- storey building having distance between roof structures and the adjacent floor not greater than8.00 meters shall be coated for one (1) hour fire proofing throughout member length. The following structural members are not required for fire proofing: 1) Steel colurmrs supporting maintenance platform; 2) Tied beams between steel beams in (c); 3) Bracing members; 4) Steel roof structures of building having a height greater than 8.0 meters and the building is equipped with automatic fire extinguisher; 5) Roof beam tied between columns; and, 6) Other steel members not specified herein. For cementitious fire proofing of columns, a trowel-finish surface with wire mesh from ground floor level up to +4.00 m above ground floor level is required. In area where fire proofing is required, coating on steel surface before applying cementitious shall conform to Section 7N Coating and Painting. In addition, paint on surface of cementitious shall also confonrr to Section 7N, Volume 2.
