SUGGESTED SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT
“Thank you for attending this screening of Star Wars : Rebels. We value your partnership and are pleased that we can provide this exclusive opportunity to see the upcoming footage. As you are aware, piracy is a serious problem for our industry and any leak can have a disastrous effect on the potential success of a product. We take this very seriously and greatly appreciate your support in helping fight film piracy. As a reminder, use of any recording devices, including cell phones, is strictly prohibited. As part of our normal practice for screening materials in advance of release or broadcast, our personnel will be monitoring the theater for use of any recording devices. If our security personnel observe any devices in use during the screening, you will be asked to leave the theater, and any confidential footage will be deleted from your recording device. In order to avoid any interruption, we ask that you turn off any cell phones now. We appreciate your continued support and hope you enjoy the upcoming movie.”
HANDLING UNAUTHORIZED RECORDING
• If a member of the audience is detected recording the film, security staff must:
• Politely request the individual to leave the auditorium and go to the cinema lobby;
• Immediately contact Disney’s Global Security Communications Center at 818-560-3220 or (877) 472-2493;
• Disney Security teams will be notified
• Ask the individual to provide some form of identification;
• Record the information
• Ask the individual to hand over any recordings of the film;
• Inform the Theater Manager immediately that the individual is being removed from the cinema.
• If the individual does not cooperate or depending upon the amount of content recorded, security staff, the on-scene Disney representative or the Theater Manager must, if local circumstances permit, contact the relevant law enforcement authority. If the individual tries to leave the cinema, security staff must obtain a description of him/her. Security staff must not physically detain or pursue any individual within or outside the cinema.
Security must also be briefed about the pre-screening event programme and to ensure the enjoyment, safety and security of guests, from registration until they enter the cinema.
We will advise if Disney staff will have a security briefing prior to the event. "
