“Two Seasons in My Hometown”
The weather in my hometown is very important to everyone. With the different seasons, our live change in many ways. In Huancayo, Peru, where I live, there are only two season-summer and winter. Summertime is from May to October. During those month, the weather is dry and calm. In Los Angeles it also gets very hot. The sun shines every day, and we have clear, blue sky. The people dress lightly and spend a lot of time outside working on the harvest. In the afternoon, the temperature drops and it gets cool and pleasant, so the people enjoy playing games or doing other activities during the time. Later on in the evening, it gets very cold. The temperature drops to zero degrees Fahrenheit. The people stay inside and wear heavy clothes. Winter, on the other hand, lasts from November to April. The weather is wet and indy during this half of the year. The temperature is cool and humid, but it rarely gets cold. The sun shines sometime, but the skies are cloudy most of the time. It rains a lot bus it doesn’t snow. As a result, very people ski in my hometown. People wear heavy clothes and water boots in order to walk through the mud and water. The two seasons give us variety that we enjoy.
