In this work, to study the influence of the gas phase resistance in the stirred cell, this parameter was investigated in the absorption of CO2 in 1 M and 3 M MEA solutions with various solvents (water and ethylene glycol) at 303.15 K under various inert gas pressures, respectively.
The mass transfer kinetics of aqueous MEA+CO2 with 0.5 and 3.6 M MEA concentrations were studied at the temperature 298.15 K to validate the analytical and numeric methods, and the experimental conditions needed to obtain pseudo
first order reaction conditions.
