At low tide, the nutrient concentrations at the sites nearer the source points were generally higher than the concentrations found in other tropical seagrass meadows (this study: the DIN ranged from 0.78 to 13.45 lM with a median of 4.28 lM, and the DIP ranged from 0.09 to 1.73 lM with a median of 0.51 lM; other studies: the DIN ranged 0.2–5.4 lM and with a median of 2.2 lM, and the DIP ranged 0.1–1.4 lM and median 0.2 lM; Erftemeijer and Herman, 1994; Agawin et al., 1996; Kiswara et al., 2009).
