This course is aimed at tradespersons whose job function involves the installation of electrical / instrumentation equipment in potentially hazardous areas.
National Units of Competency Offered:
UEENEEM080A Report on the integrity of explosion protected equipment in a hazardous area
UEENEEM024A Install explosion-protected equipment and wiring systems – gas atmospheres
UEENEEM026A Install explosion-protected equipment and wiring systems – pressurisation
Glanding Assessment of glanding techniques and applications
Standards: MOXI’s courses incorporate AS/NZS 60079 series and AS/NZS 4761 standards and are continually maintained to ensure currency.
Qualification: On successful completion, a Statement of Attainment will be issued in partial completion of the Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical (UEE42611)

Entry Requirements:
Participants must:
Hold an electrical/instrumentation trade qualification AQF III or higher and/or a valid Australian Electrical License,
Demonstrate appropriate industry experience, recommended minimum of 2 years,
If you have no experience in hazardous areas, you are required to complete the MOXI Awareness course (at no extra cost)
All students are required to familiarise themselves with AS/NZS 60079 series, which you can access through your employer; and HB13, available from MOXI.

Note:
MOXI’s course consists of 2 elements, theory and practical. When completed at MOXI’s facilities, the theory and practical elements are provided. When completed at the workplace or other non-MOXI venue, it may be necessary to submit practical evidence after completion of the course where access to plant and/or machinery is not available.
License to practice:
Persons meeting the pre-requisites may attend and achieve the competencies offered by this course. Application in the workplace requires a license to practice ( Australian Electrical or Restricted Electrical)
