VI. CONCLUSION
HPDMS has been successfully put into service in a
huge-size hydropower plant, it makes use of pulse time
delay identification technology to reject PTN. In order to
verify the high reliability of HPDMS, the impact on PD
sensors installation to hydro-generator when in single phase
grounding fault is investigated. In the end, the PD trends
monitored by HPDMS when stator winding is in failure are
shown, and the explanation of the failure is given, the
explanation is very in line with the actual failure, which
proves the high reliability of the monitoring results of
HPDMS.
