As parents go on to welcome their second child, third child, and so on, parents begin to trust their instincts more and search less for information that assists their purchasing decisions. 72 percent of Egyptian interviewees reported that after their first baby, they have faith in their experience as a parent and take on the baby product aisle with ease. In the UAR, 44 percent spend less time searching for information and, 31 percent report being less influenced by advertisements for baby gear.
With so many babies being born in Egypt every day, parents are understandably tightening up their purse strings – 65 percent of experienced moms and dads spend money more wisely now that they’re thinking about saving for their families. A whopping 94 percent of mothers report spending much less on their wardrobes, 64 percent spent less on personal care products, and 63 percent purchased fewer accessories.
