This clearly indicated that stunted tilapia
consumed more feed (hyper-phagic response) to compensate
early growth retardation and the losses from reproduction.
Use of feeding rates higher than 3% for stunted
broodfish at the beginning (until the peak production
is achieved) and then followed by an optimized rate,
possibly 2% as it was found to be optimum for normal
group, might give the best results.
