To mark its 60th anniversary, the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at Thammasat University, in collaboration with South Korea's University of Incheon, is holding the “Media & Communication and the Asean Community” seminar, at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, on Nov 25, from 9am to 5pm.
Topics by guests of honour will be “Media Industry in Asean”, by Dr Cruz Isagani, president of Manila Times College, and “Multinational Organization: Its Adaptation to Changes”, by Hirotsuga Takata, bureau chief of the NHK General Bureau for Asia-Pacific.
There will also be two panel discussions. The first, “Media Landscape and Asean Community”, will feature Prof Dr Young Woo from the University of Incheon; Lan Anh Nguyen, executive editor of Forbes Vietnam; and Assoc Prof Oranuj Lertchanyarak, from Thammasat University’s Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The second, “Communication Across Borders”, will feature Chaipranin Visudhipol, president emeritus of the Advertising Association of Thailand; Alice Clements, regional communications manager of Plan International Inc; and Chad Williams, editor-in-chief of the Phnom Penh Post in Cambodia.
