Apparent digestibility coefficients, which provide estimates of nutrient availability in feed, can be used to select ingredients that optimize the nutritional value and cost of formulated diets.
Coefficients of ADMD in the test diets and test ingredients were above 80 % (Table 4), which is considered to be very good digestibility.
The ADMD in this study was higher between 60 and 70 % and was similar 81 % for L. vannamei fed with Sargassum and M. pyrifera.
Moreover, coefficients of ADMD were also higher than those found in diets with other ingredients in L. vannamei feed with
meat, bone, poultry meal with Carthamus tinctorius; and similarly. who used partial substitution of rice protein by fish
meal.
