Attractions on the Land
There is a multitude of attractions to inform and entertain you while in Bermuda - from numerous small museums and art galleries to spectacular caves and large historic fortifications. A ferry trip to the Royal Naval Dockyard at the west end of the island is highly recommended for a one day excursion. Attractions include the Maritime Museum, Dolphin Quest, Snorkel Park and many shops and restaurants. Also not to be missed are the Bermuda Aquarium & Zoo at Flatts and the Bermuda Underwater Institute near Hamilton. For history buffs, there are many historic buildings and houses and numerous impressive well preserved forts. Not least, your itinerary should include a visit to the old town of St George's, now formally designated by UNESCO as a "World Heritage Site" for its historic significance and authenticity.
