BEIRUT, Lebanon - Al Qaeda Monday insisted it has no links with the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) that is locked in a blood clash with insurgents in Syria amid claims by Syrian rebels that government forces have killed some 100 people in aerial bombings at rebel-held city of Aleppo.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has said the women and children were among the victims in raids in various neighbourhoods in Aleppo.
The attacks were carried out by helicopters which dropped barrels packed with explosives, fuel, and scraps of metal on several areas of the city, the observatory said.
