Russia pavilion at Expo 2015 is an astounding example of contemporary architecture, mixing different styles and materials in just one building.
With its transparent first floor, its elegant wooden facade and its green rooftop, the Expo 2015 Russian pavilion manages to create a perfect internal balance, while echoing with its “nose” the structure of a boat, as a metaphor for Noah’s Ark.
Engineering solutions and green technologies work together in the Russia pavilion in order to offer a sustainable, yet welcoming space for the Expo 2015 visitors. The interiors are divided between open spaces and platforms, while the upper part of the building resembles to a Babylonian hanging garden. The vegetation on the rooftop symbolizes the immense Russian fields.
