On March 10, 2010 ANS (The Panel on food additives and nutrient sources added to food) issued
a decision on the safety of steviol glycosides, prepared on the basis of a proposal from the European Commission. The document cites the results of conducted studies, in which it has been found that substances derived from stevia are not carcinogenic or associated with any other negative effects. Furthermore,an acceptable daily intake (ADI – Acceptable Daily Intake) was established at 4 mg per kilogram of body weight. Then, on November 11, 2011, the European
