A Baby Born Without Part Of His Skull And Brain Met Santa Claus
by Stacey Grant 12/15/2015
Miracle baby Jaxon Strong beat the overwhelming odds stacked against him by living past birth. Jaxon, who’s birth name is Jaxon Emmett Buell, is now a happy baby who celebrated his first birthday this past August and is already having quite the eventful December.
Jaxon was diagnosed with microhydranencephaly — “an extreme brain malformation,” according to his Facebook page — so his parents, Brittany and Brandon, set up a GoFundMe page in September 2014 to help with their son’s medical care expenses and act as a salary for Brittany as she works full-time to care for him. They’ve raised nearly $160,000, and you can still donate!
Earlier this month, Jaxon met Santa Claus for the first time at the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, Florida. The photos are the definition of precious. It’s hard to tell who had more fun — Jaxon or Santa?
This looks like the start of a beautiful friendship.
Being Santa’s little helper can really tire a baby out.
I hope they used this as their Christmas card.

In October, Jaxon surprised the world (including his parents) by saying “hello” in a thank you video his father set up after children in Germany sent Jaxon pictures they’d drawn for him. This wasn’t his first time speaking, but it’s definitely an amazing and beautiful thing to witness.
After Jaxon met St. Nick, Brandon shared a super adorable video of Jaxon playing with his mother while “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was on in the background. Merry Christmas, Jaxon! We hope Santa brings you everything you want and more.
