In addition, the time domain simulation is conducted at 300m/min
for three widths of cut, b=1.0,1.3,and1.5mm which are
selected from the SLD and the results of simulation are shown in
Fig.5. For b=1.0mm,which is below the lobes,the vibration
response decays to zero.For b=1.5mm,which is above the lobes,
the vibration response is amplified. Whereas the vibration
response occurs in the form of harmonic oscillation for the critical
width of cut b=1.3mm.Therefore,the stability for chatter vibration could be obviously identified from these three cases which confirm to the implication of the SLDs.
