i Remain calm and composed if the passenger continues to be abusive.
ii Maintain non-aggressive eye contact to show that you are listening but do not make
any verbal response.
iii Find out the causes for the emotion and try to resolve the problem for the passenger.
iv If the passenger turns violent, look out whether the passenger is carrying any offensive
object or for any signs of attack. Defend yourself by moving away but do not hit back.
v If the situation gets out of hand, report it to the Station Controller and call for assistance
from security staff.
vi Request the passenger to leave the station and to seek assistance from Police if
necessary.
