During disturbances, the primary regulation of all turbines
will react based on the 4% frequency droop curve only, as
shown in Fig. 2. The minimum value used by the PMS to
determine the operating points of DLN GTGs has no influence
on the turbine governors. Simulations should be made to
check that the power system remains stable after
disturbances when some GTGs are more heavily loaded than
others due to the DLN constraints. After the transients have
died down, the PMS will recalculate the target power output
for each GTG. This could result in the PMS switching turbines
from DLN to non-DLN operation and vice versa. The PMS will
then send the incremental set point changes to each GTG.
