Nursery pig diets were formulated to contain three levels of crude glycerol (0, 25, and 50 g/kg) (Table 1). The crude glycerol contained 870 g/kg glycerol, 92 g/kg moisture, 12.6 g/kg Na, 18.6 g/kg Cl, and 280 mg/kg methanol (Lammers et al., 2008). Diets were manufactured in batches of 454 kg in a randomized design and this was replicated three times to obtain three observations per treatment.
