Cooking was one way my mother blessed others. She cooked extremely well. She baked even better! She did things the old way… from scratch, and whatever it was that she made, it was fairly perfect every time and from the heart. Often times I would come in from school to a home filled with delectable smells. There she would be, quietly going about her work, not even realizing what wonderfulness she had created, to the delight of her family. That is why just seeing treats such as pear preserves, homemade fudge, peanut butter cookies, and cherry pie make me immediately think of her and miss her. It also produces thankfulness in my heart to the Lord, for He is reminding me of recollections that are important to me as I strive to become accustom to life without my mother. - See more at: http://kathyrmeredith.com/#sthash.xbYN5rD3.dpuf
