You decide to hold still and hope that the soldiers leave you alone.
One of the soldiers spots you, points at you, and says, in Hindi, "Speaking of snakes, there's one."
The other soldiers look up at you. One of them says, "Minding its own business--exactly what we ought to do."
"Do you think the snake could have harmed Jasmine?"
"Doubtful. Remember your training: defend yourself as needed, but don't pick unnecessary fights. We don't need to kill every last animal in this jungle."
"Yes sir."
The soldiers then move on and leave you alone in your tree. You're relieved that they didn't attack, but you know that they're never going to find Jasmine.
Life is normal for the next several weeks, until one morning, you spot another woman approaching. She looks like she could be a native from a nearby village, though you don't recognize her. She is fairly short, at only about 1.6 meters tall, and looks like she is in her early twenties. She is lean and somewhat muscular, and looks like she is in excellent physical shape.
The woman wears what you first think is a sleeveless, tiger print shirt, as well as a tiger print skirt that goes just past her knees. As she approaches, you think that her clothing might be real tiger fur, and not just a printed design on fabric. She wears sandals tightly strapped to her feet, but no other visible clothing.
The woman also has a machete in a sheathe strapped to her side. She clutches it periodically as she walks cautiously past your tree. She looks around in many directions, as if searching for someone or something.
The woman is beautiful, and you would like to hypnotize her. But you don't want to end up on the sharp end of her machete, and don't know how adept she is at using it. What do you do?
