Search for Principal of Senior School

To Be Used for Both Internal and External Candidates
Publish the vacancy on Prem website and Schrole (17 August 2015)
Create a Google site (closed) for the search process
Finalise the membership of the search committee (26 August 2015)
Publish the membership of the search committee to the school community
Draft the profile of the “ideal candidate” and ascribe a weighting for each desired attribute.
Construct the questions for the candidates
Finalise the interview format for the internal candidates
Draft the templates for the interview groups to use to record their findings
Internal candidates to be interviewed by teachers and by the search committee
Internal candidates that are to be considered as finalists to be advised and other candidates stood down after a debrief
Review all applicants as their application arrives
Seek written references immediately for those candidates in whom we have a strong interest and invite strongest candidates to interview if necessary
Close of application process (15 September 2015)
Search Committee to review all CVs and to compile a short-list of preferred candidates
Each short-listed candidate to be interviewed by the search committee on Skype
Personal contact with each referee (Skype interviews) to check on the written references that were submitted
Search committee to compile the list of finalists
Finalists to be invited to interview (Internal and External)
Interview questions and recording sheets to be issued to each group of interviewees and all briefed as to how the process will be organized
Prem community to be made aware of the names of the finalists and the dates of the final interviews
Travel, visa and accommodation arranged (K. Oye)
Prepare the interview schedule for the candidates
Final interviews
Interview record sheets to be returned to search committee
Search Committee to determine preferred candidate
Offer made by HoS
Contract signed
Other finalists stood down and debrief offered
Board of Management and Mom Tri to be informed of the name of the appointed Principal of the Senior School
Prem community to be informed of the name of the appointed Principal of the Senior School
