Ni/ZSM-5 catalyst was prepared by an incipient wetness
method, using a solution of Ni(NO3)26H2O and ZSM-5
support, followed by drying at 105 C overnight. After drying,
the catalyst was calcined at 500 C for 3 h under an air atmosphere.
The loading of Ni was 10 wt.% Ni/CeO2/ZSM-5 catalyst
was prepared by a co-impregnation method. ZSM-5 zeolite
was impregnated with an aqueous solution of a mixture of
Ni(NO3)2$6H2O and Ce(NO3)3$6H2O. The catalyst was dried at
105 C overnight, and then calcined at two different temperatures
for 3 h in an air atmosphere. Two calcination temperatures
of 500 and 750 C were investigated for the Ni/CeO2/
ZSM-5 catalyst. Different Ni loadings (2, 5 and 10 wt.%) and
CeO2 loadings (5, 10 and 30 wt.%) for the Ni/CeO2/ZSM-5
catalyst were researched in this paper. In this paper the
prepared Ni/ZSM-5 and Ni/CeO2/ZSM-5 catalysts are denoted
as Ni/CeO2/ZSM-5 (A-B-C). A and B are represented as the
loading amounts of Ni and CeO2 (wt.%), C is represented as the
calcination temperature (C).
All the catalysts used in this paper were crushed and
sieved to granules with a size range between 0.065 and
0.212 mm.
