Visitors Logbook: This practice is approved to implementing on a safety purpose for all relevant persons. "Visitors" was included suppliers and contractors as well. Because visitors to workplaces may cause workplace health and safety issues.
All CHEP Thailand staffs especially all supervisor and management level must to be ensured the practice its company uses to sign-in and control visitors has been carried out any time. Suggestion a few things to be reviewed before allowing visitors into the facility include:
• Just who can authorize a visitor to be on the premises? Can any employee be a host for a visitor, or must the visitor be sponsored by a supervisor or manager?
• During what hours can a visitor be brought on the premises? Is it OK for an employee to bring a visitor into the facility after-hours or on the weekends? Or must have an extra approved by manger and who's responsible of the facility?
• Do visitors need to be issued safety equipment or to receive any special type of safety training?
• Are there any age restrictions on visitors? Can an employee bring his or her children into the facility as visitors for their safely. Or must have an extra approved by manger and who's responsible of the facility?
• Are packages carried by visitors, including briefcases, subject to inspection and recheck that they've bring their whole things back.
All visitors to the facility should be required to sign-in when they come to the facility, and sign-out when they leave. For best security, the hosted, not the visitors, should enter information into the visitor logbook, and give them to sign. (To be ensured that’s the right information)
“Frequent visitors to the facility, such as messenger or service people, should be issued a permanent visitors identification badge with their photograph”, can be using a similar type of staff badge.
Visitors who have failed to sign-out should be identified. The employee who sponsored the visitors should be contacted and reminded that they are responsible for assuring that visitors follow the proper practice. There may also be security-related reasons for keeping track of visitors.
