Regression analysis indicated that across all conditions, several
individual characteristics had a significant effect on lunch energy
intake. Regardless of the experimental manipulations, energy intake
was negatively related to the flexible restraint score and the
score on the Eating Attitudes Test, and positively related to the
rigid restraint score (adjusted R2 = 0.19; p < 0.0001). Ad libitum
salad intake was positively related to participant age and height
(adjusted R2 = 0.08; p = 0.011).
