The MDA content in liver, kidney, heart, and thoracic
aorta of diabetic rats were significantly increased as
compared to the normal rats (Pb.05; Table 3). It is
noteworthy that the chronic diabetic rats receiving 0.5 and
1.0 g/kg MA had significantly lower level of MDA than that
of diabetic control rats. Similarly, a decrease in MDA content
by 1.0 g/kg MA was comparable to 4 U/kg insulin
