This thesis is about warehouse layout improvement in press stamping plant (2nd plant) of Yamato Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The objectives are to use as a standard for raw material storage, to identify forklift path, to reduce working time and motion distance but to increase storage volume. From a current condition study of the Yamato’s raw material warehouse that found worker doesn't have any standard to store raw materials so it is very difficult and takes a long time to find required materials. In addition, there don’t have forklift path which affects to inconvenient working. So the main problem that time is wasted by finding Raw Material. According to the problem analysis, the main cause is the warehouse doesn't identify storage area. Therefore, a new improvement warehouse layout is adjusted by ABC Analysis and ordered by Fastest Turning Closest to The Door. These methods are used to specify raw material storage area separately, clearly and appropriately. More effective raw materials storage is also a purpose. As a result from warehouse layout improvement, working time is reduced 49.49% by average per cycle. Motion distance is also reduced 21.05% by average per cycle. Furthermore, storage volume is increased 28.63% by average per cycle.
