It has been brought to my attention that the Sales Team are accepting and accommodating members in plans to move from one plan type to another during a plan year without any underwriting consideration or discussion which has been to the benefit of the insured members.
Please note that under NO circumstances can a member of a plan move from one plan to another prior to the policy renewal dates.
Staff members who have intimated to their brokers and agents that this practice is acceptable, must immediately identify the company plan that we insure together with copies of the appropriate written correspondence between our company and the broker.
This material must be produced today for review and consideration for acceptance.
For your information this thoughtless action could be costing our company in huge claim losses which is not acceptable.
This requirement is immediately effective.
