BMC opens public feedback PO box
The Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) on Monday opened PO Box 5555 for receiving complaints, suggestions and information from residents.
BMC chairman, Pol Sub Lt Kriengsak Lohachala, said the measure is to ensure the 30 council members appointed by the National Council for Peace and Order can manage Bangkok’s 50 districts based on feedback from the public. All information will be considered by 11 BMC panels and distributed to relevant sectors to solve public issues, said Pol Sub Lt Kriengsak.
In addition, the establishment of 323 public participation centres in Bangkok have been proposed to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration for approval. The centres, comprising representatives from both the public and private sectors, will operate as a one-stop service to solve problems. The centres are expected to be ready by the end of the year.
