The Amazon Eco Park lodge is located a short drive from Manaus airport and then 30 minutes by boat, on the banks of the Taruma River. There are 60 comfortable but simple rooms in 20 bungalows of three apartments each, with private bathrooms (with hot water showers - although these can be a little unreliable and tend to run luke warm to cold which is no bad thing in the heat of the jungle) and fans and air conditioning.
There is a large open air restaurant serving regional cuisine as well as natural pools, a private beach and a lecture room. The lodge offers a wide range of activities, such as a boat trip to see the famous meeting point of the Rio Negro and Amazonas, treks through the jungle, caiman spotting at night by torch light, piranha fishing and visiting local village tribes.
