The experimental work was carried out in a 4 cylinder, 4-stroke,
turbocharged, intercooled, 2000 cm3 NISSAN light-duty diesel engine
with common-rail injection system. The engine was equipped
with cooled EGR, oxidation catalyst (DOC) and regenerative wallflow
type diesel particle filter (DPF). However, in order to measure
pollutant concentrations without the influence of the DPF, the exhaust pipe was modified in order to include a by-pass downstream
the DOC.
