Challenges to the current organisational structure of the population programme
Concerns have been raised about the current structure of the population programme could
possibly neglect broader population and development issues. The population programme
under the MOH could be efficient in delivering family planning services, contributing to the improvement of maternal and child health, but it is hard to address
effectively issues emerging from the new demographic trends.
