“Bringing the Urban Environment into Architecture” means more than simply opening up architecture in a physical way. It also implies cultural values that will attract people to gather there, as well as added values for the surrounding environment, such as the design of the architecture, consideration for regional society, clean energy, and security against natural disasters. By extension, we also invite you to think about social systems that will be conducive to such values. To bringing the urban environment into architecture, does the architect not have to think that deeply?
We look forward to proposals that envision the role that architecture can play in the urban environment, conceptualized as specific designs on the theme of “bringing in”.
