The totalconcentration of sugars was determined to be 50.1 g l−1(by thehydrolysis of 150 g l−1of SCG), the major sugars identified in SCGHare mannose (23.6 g l−1) and galactose (17.3 g l−1) followed by glu-cose (3.9 g l−1), arabinose (2.8 g l−1) and cellobiose (2.7 g l−1).
