While the first thing on a tourist's mind is likely to be sightseeing, the second is almost certainly shopping. Few tourists would feel their trip was complete unless they brought back something by which to remember the country, even if it is only a small, inexpensive souvenir. As often as not, they will turn to you, their guide, for information and advice on what to buy. If you can answer their questions clearly and informatively you will be of more value as a guide and, at the same time, you can help introduce the products of your country to a wider world audience.
