Data analysis
All data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows (version17.0). Continuous variables were compared between group susing, an independent t test and are expressed as the mean ± standard deviations (SD). Categorical data were analyzed using Fisher’s exact tests and are reported as percentages. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) wasused to compare the interrater reliability of the PANSS ratings. Two-sample t tests were used to determine the function of group music therapy. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to compare the PANSS and CDSS results between the MIG and UCG, controlling for baseline PANSS and CDSS measurements, and p < .05 was considered statistically significant.
