The following things are important to remember to do when you are going to write about cause and effect.
1. Examine all the causes
If an event or situation has more than one cause., look at all of them, and try to discuss them in your paragraph. For example, why is traffic such a big problem in Bangkok? There are many probably several reasons for this situation.
2. Give examples to support all the causes
When you support a cause in your writing, it means that you give examples to make clear why you think it is a cause to the situation you are talking about. For example, if you are talking about causes for pollution in the Chao Phraya River, you would need to give specific examples.
3. Save your most important cause for last
If you save your most important cause for last, it leaves your reader with a stronger impression. In fact, if you use your strongest cause first, your reader may not think it is important to read all of your paragraph. Your most important cause helps form a good conclusion to your paragraph.
4. Be objective
To try to just look at the cause. A paragraph that examines cause usually does not try to recommend how to change the situation or state opinions about why the situation is good or bad - it just explains the reason for the situation.
