Problems Most Common in Teenagers In our society, especially, the teens have a positive and negative influence from their peer. There are many problems that the teenagers have to face. Some of the common problems are taking drugs, eating disorders, and conflict with parents. Consumption of drugs is the biggest concern in teenagers who go to the school or to the college. First, I believe, the teenagers start to take drugs because they do not have trust in themselves. They do not stand up for their beliefs and have a great influence from their friends. Second, teenagers attend parties very frequently to enjoy, sometimes under parental supervision and sometimes without the parents. When they are not with the parents, they could do anything they want. Some of the problems that lead to are binge drinking, smoking cigarettes, and taking other drugs. Finally, teenagers may get into a lot of trouble doing these illegal things when their parents are not present. After the party, they might think they are not under the influence of alcohol and then drive. That may cause car accidents and they may have a hard time with their studies at school and at college. Even though, most of the teenage females and males are affected by eating disorders, they might not think that they have a disorder. First, Bulimia is a disorder when a person binge on eating and then purge. The bulimic might even eat just a little bit of his/her meal and then vomit. Second, Anorexia is a disorder when a person refuses to eat. Even if they eat something it would be a tiny little piece, such as half a piece of a cookie or a piece of a lettuce. On the other hand, Obesity is also one of the disorders. This teenager may not bother to think if the food is good for their health. They just want to have a taste of everything and like to have something in their mouth. These are the disorders that are not just in teenagers but also in adults.
