The biometric characters were used for comparison among species. Some characters are
tools of taxonomy. This study not only focuses on the different in biometry but also considers on the
species selection for commercial farming. The result showed that eight biometric characters of L.
boehmei were different from other species. The measurement pointed that this species is smallest in
the contest. Mean values and ranges in eight biometric characters of the samples were summarized in
Table 2. Moreover this species is restricted distribution, which only found in two provinces (Lertpanich
and Aranyavalai, 2005). In the conservation point of view, this species should not suitable for
commercial farming. Regarding to the other three species, there is only one significantly different
parameters among species at p ≤ 0.05, which was hindlimb length (HLL). The result indicated that
three species of the butterfly lizards (L. belliana, L. ocellata and L. r. rubritaeniata) are similar in the
body size. However, the hindlimb length is not significant character for food aspect. The villagers
either, north and northeastern who eat these lizards told that the most important character is the tail,
which contained high volume of meat
