Definitions of Performance Standards
-5 Very bad performance Employee is unable to follow any of the simplest instructions and demonstrates no improvement at all.
-4 Poor performance Employee has a hard time understanding the job and does not really improve much.
-3 Unsatisfying performance Employee has difficulties to work and to improve.
-2 Improvable performance Employee has to be instructed more than once to understand the job, but shows willingness to improve.
-1 Under average performance Employee usually understands the job, and improves gradually.
0 Average performance Employee works according to the job description and demonstrates average performance and improvement.
1 Above average performance Employee understands the nature of the job and demonstrates quick improvement.
2 Okay performance Employee is able to utilize capabilities to a good extent and shows fair and quick improvement in learning.
3 Satisfying performance Employee demonstrates good capabilities and shows good and fast progress in development.
4 Good performance Employee demonstrates outstanding capabilities and shows good and fast progress.
5 Excellent performance Employee is a role model among staff and demonstrates outstanding capabilities and rapid progress.
