A surveyed report of Australian Sarus Crane population in the Carpenteria Bay Protected Area, the North of Australia that found their habitat are under the major threat of the cattle encroachment and the diversion water from wetlands to be stored in a dam. While, there is a prohibition of livestock in the area around of Tinaroo Lake but it has evolved into a habitat of human beings. At the present, the population of Eastern Sarus Crane that can found in the nature of Cambodia and Vietnam but it tends to decline steadily from the encroaching and clearing the area along the banks of the Mekong River and the destruction of their nesting areas at Ha Tien wetlands in Vietnam due to the expansion of shrimp farms.
