Organizational politics also advise a move towards a more consequential model of job analysis data
evaluation. Complaints about organizational research not receiving enough attention from
practitioners are often voiced in academic circles. Such complaints are likely to persist among
researchers who fail to illustrate the value-added or practical impact of job analysis data on organizational
decision processes. Research on job analysis accuracy that follows the traditional paradigm will not Rnd
avid consumers among those in charge of committing the organization's resources to job analysis efforts,
regardless of impressive levels of SME agreement or minimal deviations from laboratory-made
true scores. In the next section, we outline a model for the kind of evaluation that we are
suggesting here.
