Effective non-Indigenous-specific suicide prevention programs
The following programs have been evaluated and shown to be effective or promising strategies in the prevention
of suicide for the general population. Some of these programs have been implemented with Indigenous
populations and found to be culturally appropriate and acceptable to participants and service providers. For the
remaining programs, further research is needed to test their effectiveness for Indigenous populations.
