An inverse correlation was observed between vitamin C concentrations
and 8-epi-PGF2 concentrations among both the men and the women at baseline (r = –0.60, P = 0.05) and on day 14 of the study (r = –0.55, P = 0.06). Although the 8-epi-PGF2 concentration decreased significantly on day 14 in the men, the vitamin C concentration was more stable, which affected the correlation. However, because changes in 8-epi-PGF2 and the association between vitamin C and 8-epi-PGF2 may be highly relevant to health status, we plotted concentrations of vitamin C and 8-epi-PGF2 at baseline and at the end of the study (day 14)
