Psoriasis is one of the most common human skin diseases and is considered to have key genetic underpinnings. It is characterized by excessive growth and aberrant differentiation of keratinocytes.[1,2] Mometasone furoate (MF) is a medium potent glucocorticoid for dermatological use. MF is used for the treatment of glucocorticoid-responsive dermatoses, in the management of patients with atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, allergic contact dermatitis, scalp psoriasis
and psoriasis vulgaris.[3] However, there is still a need to develop novel systems formulated with non-irritating components that can be applied to efficiently treat psoriasis.
