gap in communication with health care providers, as well
as a need by patients to find a better way to cope with their
disease and treatments. Indeed, there is a large and growing
body of research supporting the benefits of a number of
CIM modalities for patients with LC undergoing treatment
for QOL-related outcomes. These include the use of herbal
products, acupuncture (15), reflexology (16), Yoga (17), and
Qigong (18).
