Aspen Plus simulations of the supercritical
method with a 42:1 molar ratio, 20 MPa and at 300
C, and
the conventional base catalyzed method without FFA pretreatment.
The RedlicheKwong Aspen equation of state (RK Aspen EOS) was
chosen as the thermodynamic model for the high pressure sections
of the supercritical method and a higher water washing flow than
previously reported simulations of the conventional method was
employed
