For Brass or Iron Siphons, the pressure and the temperature ratings are maximum limitations. For example,
a Brass Pipe Siphon is listed for 250 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum service temperature of
400°F. This Brass Siphon cannot be used for temperatures higher than 400°F even if the working pressure is
less than 250 psi.
Alloy and Stainless Steel Siphons, however, do have adjusted temperature/pressure ratings, and can be
used to the maximum working pressure corresponding to the operating temperature as shown in the
following rating table.
